(As received - It is truly shocking that our government has taken an active role in blocking and banning AlJazeera as a news source. The message I guess is that the only acceptable sources of news and information are those controlled by the big wealthy corporates like Rupert Murdoch, Mortimer Zuckerman, Sun Moon etc that typically push a very strong Zionist agenda. Shouldn't that be counterbalanced? Don't we have freedom of press?)

I don't know about you all, but when looking for an unbiased, reliable, and CONSTANT news source over the past few weeks, Al Jazeera English was the only network that delivered. Al Jazeera executives have attempted to convince American cable networks to carry their channel in the past, but to no avail. Al Jazeera is now a hot international commodity following their superb coverage of the revolution and the campaign is picking up steam. YOU can help convince American networks by flooding their inboxes with already created e-mails demanding Al Jazeera English be carried on basic packages.

Go to http://english.aljazeera.net/demandaljazeera/ and on the far right enter your zip code. Choose your cable provider and on the next page enter your name and e-mail address and click send. It's that simple. You don't even have to enter your real name or e-mail address. Send one to each cable provider. Send multiple e-mails to each. We can help combat the propaganda western media has indulged in with a reliable network where 'the spin' truly stops.

**One problem I faced when I would click on Dish Network or DirecTV is it would have a city that did not correlate to the zip code I entered. I went to the text of the e-mail and edited it myself entering my correct city. But hey, the more e-mails from different cities you send out, the better.

In today's segment, a role reversal. We have become accustomed to referees, umpires, judges and other sporting officials being berated or even attacked. Well, a Brazilian soccer referee I guess got fed up. So when a player confronted him over a call, lets just say he put his foot down. Then followed it up by pulling out a knife and stabbing the player to death. Then stabbing the player's brother repeatedly.

I kid you not.

In today's segment, we had a record blizzard. So a few neighbors became very neighborly in dealing with the snow. First, a lady trespassed onto her neighbor's yard to allow her dog to relieve himself and for her to permanently borrow the shovel there. Then the owner of that property, after reviewing the surveillance tape, gets even by using his snowblower to bury her car.

"Won't you be mine, couldn't you be mine, won't you be my neighbor. Won't you please, please won't you please, please won't you be my neighbor..... Hi Neighbor..."

In today's segment, first a rant about rampant bigatry fueled idiocy plaguing the US, then segwaying into what you can't do under dictatorship but can when free.

Oklahoma became the first state to pass a law banning Shariah, which means Islamic law. Oklahoma also very shortly thereafter became the first state to have such a law declared unconstitutional. Now there are movements in other places, including South Carolina, Texas, Nevada, Georgia, and Wyoming, trying to pass similar measures. When some of the lawmakers in such places are asked if ever Shariah was an issue, they state the obvious, NO. Then why the rush to pass such idiotic unconstitutional measures? To protect our citizenry, some say, from the scourge of Shariah.

What is it that is so scary and morbid about the Shariah? Is it that our system of law and justice is in many ways based on what the Shariah brought forth 1400 years ago?

Or is it strictly that the hate mongers would have you think that this dark cloud of Shariah is invading our nations and we must take action to prevent it?

I will let you decide. Colbert's segment on sharia previously posted is quite insightful and enjoyable.

Now to the fun section.

In Malawi, lawmakers are concerned about the behavior of their citizenry. Illicit behavior that people were fearful of engaging in under the previous dictator rule is now becoming rampant. And the lawmakers are going to put a stop to it...

In today's installment, an Indian navy frigate had it's annual "day at sea" for the families of its personnel. It went out for a quick tour and headed back to port. Thereupon, it sunk. Not due to enemy attack. Not due to terrorism. Not even due to an iceberg. It was run into by another ship, which caused a leak and a fire, and in trying to put out the fire, they accelerated the ship taking on water and it sunk.

I am sure all of those who attended "day at sea" can't wait until next year.

A recent report released by the ACLU highlights more horrendous incidents perpetuated by our military in Iraq, Afghanistan and Guantanamo. From flat out cold blooded murder to torture, the stench of Guantanamo, Bagram, and AbuGhraib just won't go away. Perhaps its because we have never come clean or taken concrete action to rectify our wrong doing?
It is truly shameful, as our nation has been for the last century the beacon of democracy and civility for the rest of the world. They used to look at us with hope, for their nations to become like us or for them to try to come to our land of opportunity. Now unfortunately our reputation is being the bully of the world. The thugs who will pursue their own interests at the cost of anyone else.
President Obama, you promised to close Guantanamo, but have been unable to for varying reasons. You promised to end the violations of our constitution and human rights, and have since changed course in shocking ways. Don't forget the principles, sentiments and platform that put you in the white house.

Yesterday was a sad day. The peaceful protests were attacked by civilian dressed organized armed mobs claiming to be Mubarak supporters, who were actually police, military and secret service. Some of them were even wearing their IDs. Additionally, some of the crowd were fired upon by the armed forces. Anderson Cooper of CNN and other journalists were attacked by these criminals:

For an even more graphic illustration, click here to see a police truck mercilessly plowing through people walking peacefully in the street (NOTE GRAPHIC VIDEO).

Let us hope and pray for a quick and bloodless end to the Mubarak regime. Let us also hope the world leaders, especially President Obama, stop trying to legitimize and preserve Mubarak and stand with the people of Egypt.

In listening to the news yesterday, they stated "Mubarak has served the people of Egypt for 30 years". Who has the audacity to say that? The only one he served is himself at the expense of the Egyptian people. And 30 years is far too long.

Support the will and rights of the people of Egypt. Stand against tyranny.
In today's installment, P Diddy is being sued. No, not for a night club brawl. No, not for stealing someone else's lyrics/music. No, not for taking under contract talent from another label.

He is being sued for $1 trillion dollars. Why? Well lets see where to begin:
1. He stole a poker chip from the plaintiff worth "100 zillions of dollars"?
2. He fathered the plaintiff's 23 year old son.
3. The plaintiff wants $900 billion in child support, and $100 billion in lost wages. (CHILD SUPPORT? The guy is 23 and child support is only payable (except special circumstances) up to 18. So that boils down to $50 billion per year. Nice. LOST WAGES? Hmmmm.... the average person lives to around 78 years old, and works pretty much from 18-68 lets say, so 50 years. so to have earned 100 billion in wages, you would have to average wages of $2 billion per year.... The plaintiff I am guessing is late 30's to early 40's. Unless Bill Gates or Warren Buffet had a sex change operation, I don't think anyone in the world can claim such "lost wages")
4. He is responsible for 9/11.
5. He, his ex girlfriend, and Rodney King, after knocking down the world trade center, knocked down the plaintiff's kids.

The judge denied a restraining order (if I was Diddy, I would have asked the judge to put one in effect... seriously), but set the case for a hearing.
