I hope you enjoy these as much as I do...

Whats in the drinking water in Berlin? The last two "why not to drink" were both Berliners, and here's another:

Recently, a group of Israelis with consciences did a review of the recent Gaza atrocities. And the results are even more shocking. They used Palestinians as human shields. They shot anything that moved, including women, children and elderly. They used illegal and inhumane phosphorous weapons on a densely populated urban area. The instructions they were given were quite clear:
"'Everyone is your enemy,' Israeli soldiers in Gaza told"

With all this shocking information revealed, the world leaders stepped up and .......

More from the media supporting why not to drink....

Interestingly, both from Germany...

First, guy's girlfriend leaves him at the bar, so he steals a tractor and leads police on a 40 minute low speed chase..... I did not make that up.

The Houston Chronicle had a nice profile of an exhibit put on showcasing the historical achievements and pioneering by Muslim scientists. Very nice and enlightening piece....

Can you believe in the midst of this week of news flashes (Deaths of Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, Billy Mays, Steve McNair; resignation of Sarah Palin; Wimbledon and Federer; etc) we missed a big one:
Congresswoman on aid mission arrested in foreign country.

She was just released too!

Why didn't we hear about it?

Take a wild guess.

Lets see.... Which former congresswomen ran and lost against an opponent funded almost exclusively by the PACs of a foreign country?
Cynthia McKinney. (she has since been reelected)
And which foreign country was that?
Israel

She was on her way with a group of other aid workers to deliver needed aid supplies to one of the most afflicted areas of the world, the Gaza strip. The root cause of the crisis in the Gaza is the deliberate actions and occupation of the Israelis, which we unfortunately continue to subsidize (irrespective of the added debt it adds to us and the world shame it brings upon us). Truly a tragedy that the media, which is oh so fair and balanced, seems to have missed this story. Where's the outrage, where's the political pressure and action?

The amount of debt we are carrying as a nation is inconceivable. So much so that the website linked below, which I can not verify the accuracy of, goes from being ridiculous to truly plausible. When will we stop and think about the long term implications? I still remember the accomplishment of Bill Clinton (do we remember him for anything other than Monicagate?) when he actually balanced the budget and even had a surplus. Unfortunately, four years of Bush opportunism and corruption has truly set us back ....

I won't even post any of the details.
